The Peugeot 3008 is a practical small SUV with striking appearance

The new Peugeot 3008 is an impressive figure produced by the French automaker along with practicality, comfort, good to use and hi-tech fitted interior. It is equipped with five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive unit.

The other version in 1.6-Litre BlueHDi is of 120bhp and 221lb/ft torque, which is more powerful than the entry-level version. It takes 11.2 seconds to get from 0-62m/h with top speed of 115m/h. Its fuel average is also impressive with 67m/g and emissions are 108g/km. It is fitted with six-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive assembly.

After 1.6-Litre BlueHDi diesel engines, the Peugeot 3008 has used 2.0-Litre BlueHDi 150bhp version which is capable to produce 273lb/ft of torque. Now the performance graph goes up with 9.3 seconds time frame for 0-62m/h with top speed of 129m/h. It is also economical version and gives 64m/g with 114g/km of Co2 emissions. It is fitted with six-speed manual and front-wheel drive unit.

This 2.0-Litre BlueHDi is available in 180bhp version which is the most powerful engine in Peugeot diesel engine lineup. With 295lb/ft torque it takes 8.6 seconds to get from 0-62m/h. the top speed of this diesel engine is 131m/h. The fuel economy is good one with 58m/g and Co2 emissions are just 124g/km. It is fitted with six-speed automatic gear transmission and front-wheel drive unit as standard.

The1.6-Litre diesel engines are not recommended by the experts due to their sluggish performance, but the 2.0-Litre versions are efficient with reasonable performance and fuel economy. The Peugeot diesel versions are more at sales than its petrol versions due to high mileage.

The 1.2-Litre PureTech petrol engine is of 129bhp and 170lb/ft torque. It is quite efficient and impressive in performance. It takes 10.5 seconds to get from 0-62m/h with top speed of 117m/h. The fuel average is also good and economical with 55m/g. The Co2 emissions are 117g/km. It is a three-cylinder engine fitted with six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive assembly. The same engine is fitted with six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive unit and gives three second better sprint time than the version fitted with manual transmission.

The 1.6-Litre THP is a powerful petrol engine and capable of 162bhp and 177lb/ft torque. It takes 8.6 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h. This petrol engine reaches 128m/h at its maximum outputs. It gives 48m/g of fuel average and 129g/km of Co2 emissions. It is a four-cylinder engine and fitted with six-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive unit as standard.

With reasonable interior, the new 3008 is a good choice for a family

The Peugeot 3008 is a practical in its approach but its interior is the most impressive part. The overall material quality is good and up to standards. Digital dashboard has its own significance. The Centre console is good looking and modern. The steering-wheel position, control panel accessibility and perfect driving position were the real problems of 308 and 208 but the new 3008 gives you the best arrangement to sort out this problem.

The new i-cockpit proves very handy to give the best outer view of surroundings to the driver. The soft-to-touch expensive plastic makes interior stylish and glossy.
