Durable in Performance

The ride gives comfort of an SUV, the interior is just like of a luxury saloon, rugged front look stands out in a crowd of its rivals, with lot of tech and equipment, terrific gearbox assembly and above all the power machine. Nothing else except the FORD RANGER.

The Ford Ranger is a midsized pickup truck manufactured by Ford Motor Company. Its first two generations are originally based on Mazda B-Series but in its third generation, as we find it now, is all Ford. Throughout the years it is noticed that the Ford Ranger and its competitors like the Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200, Volkswagen Amarok and Nissan Navara have been in transitory mode to make their pickups more than a pickup. All of them have tried to achieve the optimum standard of performance from their latest models of pickups and the Ford Ranger is in lead.

Trio of the most efficient engines

The Ford Ranger is available in three powerful and smooth engines, two in diesels and one in petrol. The Ford Ranger comes with a choice of two diesel units, 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi and 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi. With 158bhp the 2.2-litre TDCi is very strong and perfect for towing and even perform better if you choose the lower axle ratio option. The best fuel economy of 43.5m/g comes from this engine.

This engine has the guts to take the Ford Ranger from0-62 m/h in 11.8 seconds. For such a big and rugged pickup truck the exhaustion is the real problem but the Ford Ranger emits 171g/km of Co2. This version is equipped with a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox system. The 3.2-litre produces the power of 197bhp which makes it apparent when pulling away – the Ford Ranger engine feels quite athletic and pleasingly fast.

This version is built for speed and acceleration. It takes the vehicle from0-62m/h in 10.6 seconds. Fuel consumption is high and gives 35m/g with six-speed manual gearbox and 32m/g with automatic transmission system. The emission of Co2 is 235g/km. the best option for Ford Ranger is 2.2-litre diesel version. Ford Petrol engine is available in Bakkie Single cab with manual transmission. It’s a rear wheel drive engine. In Bakkie super cab petrol engine is available with four- wheel drive along with manual gearbox.

Variation in body structures has made this pickup truck close to SUV.

The Ford Ranger is introduced with same new front grille that is found in Ford’s SUV. The Ford Ranger is available in three different body structures and styles: the single cab is in two variants, single and extended super cab that is perfect for commercial use, while the full-size double cab gives comfort like a SUV. It is best for long hours drive. Due to its practicality and performance it is more than a pickup for private use.

All models are available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. There are four trim grades of the Ford Ranger, Xl and XLT range is built with nasty and rugged features to offer toughness and durability  with style, but Wildtrak and Limited variants are more refined in their built with lot of decent specifications for private or family users.
